| Frequently
Asked Questions
You ask us:- ------- on Hook Sizes ------- "...
What sizes are available in various patterns?
For example, how small do you make your dry flies? Size #18?
Size #20, or smaller?
Do you have a catalogue?"
We answer:- We tie Flies in ALL sizes.
For as long as there's a hook we can tie the fly on, then
your order will determine what flies we tie. To see our flies,
please click on "Catalogue" on the left of your
browser. Please note that we shall be updating our catalogue
from time to time.
We also do Custom Flies, for which we require
your sample/pattern recipes. We have more than 200 custom
patterns which we regularly tie for our clients. We
keep these patterns strictly confidential.
You ask us:- ------- on Minimum Orders -------
"Do you have minimum orders quantities by size and by pattern?
How do you ship to the U.S.?"
For orders in excess of 500 dozen, we deliver FREE-OF-CHARGE
to your door-step!
We do NOT have minimum order quantities. However,
for better cost-effectiveness, we strongly advise that you
order at least 50 to 100 dozen. The cost of freight becomes
extremely high per fly when you order below 50 dozen.
We deliver orders by FedEx, who have a tiered rate structure
in 0.5Kg. increments. As Flies are very light, it costs you
the same amount of money to import 1 dozen trout flies as
it does 200 dozen! We strive to deliver your flies TO YOUR
DOOR STEP within 2 WEEKS of receiving your confirmed order,
and depending on the availability of materials to tie your
order!
THE TERMS OF TRANSACTION
You ask us:- ------- on Customs Duties ------- "
What duties and taxes should we in the U.S. expect to be
charged when importing your flies?"
We answer:- Under the African Growth and Opportunity
Act of the U.S. Congress, year 2000, Hand-Tied Fishing Flies
manufactured in Kenya and imported into the U.S. DO NOT attract
any Customs Duties:
U.S. President Bill Clinton signed the African Growth and
Opportunity Act (AGOA) into law on May 18, 2000 as Title 1
of The Trade and Development Act of 2000. The Act offers tangible
incentives for African countries to continue their efforts
to open their economies and build free markets)
check out http://www.agoa.gov/ or contact the U.S. Department
of Commerce, Office of Africa Department at agoamail@ita.doc.gov
in Washington D.C.
However, U.S. Customs Internal Revenue Service are best placed
to answer your questions regarding import duties and regulations.
You ask us:- ------- on How to Pay Us ------- "
Do you accept credit cards? If not, how do we pay you and
is it expensive?"
We answer:- The credit card issue is a hot one for
us and, though we're working on it even now, we still cannot
accept payments by credit card as we are not yet merchants
of Visa and Mastercard. We will certainly Shout! about it
once we become so.
In the meantime....
The closest we get to taking your payments right there in
the North America is by your SENDING YOUR CHEQUE TO OUR REPRESENTATIVES
IN Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Should you decide to use this method, we shall furnish you

the payment with them.
